High-Density EEG Systems - From 16 Channel to 128 EEGs

SC-LAB operates a multi-tier EEG platform (16, 64, and 128 channels) because no single configuration is optimal for every question in consciousness research. Our 16-channel systems enable rapid, low-burden recordings for high-throughput pilots, longitudinal tracking, and repeated capture of neurophysiological events. 64-channel EEG provides the ideal “workhorse” balance—broad scalp coverage for robust sleep/states analyses, connectivity metrics, and multimodal physiology (EOG/EMG/respiration/GSR) while remaining practical for repeated sessions and tES-EEG experiments. When maximum spatial precision is required, our 128-channel platform supports high-density topographic mapping and MRI-informed source localisation, improving anatomical specificity, artefact discrimination, and network-level inference for mechanistic studies.
